Sydenhams Independent Timber and Builders Merchants acquired their specialist Timber site at Glastonbury back in 2019. They soon started their search to replace the old racking system with a bespoke heavy-duty cantilever racking solution.
Our in-house design team created plans based on the merchant’s requirements – to store a large range of softwoods, hardwoods and associated products including long length and large section timbers, MDF mouldings panels and flooring.
S.E.M.CO manufactures and distributes its products from its 10,000sq ft purpose-built distribution centre based in Cannock, Staffordshire with a stock range available when required.
Sydenhams completed its Glastonbury project in 3 weeks from concept to completion.
Racking Installation
S.E.M.CO ensures that all racking that it installs meets SEMA industry standards with its installers all SEIRS trained.
The need was identified for concrete pads to be laid so that the 60m racking could be safely bolted to the floor.

Double-sided runs comprising of 41 to 46 columns of cantilever racking were installed from 59,602mm to 65,577mm in length and height of nearly 5000mm.
Each with 3 arms and a load capacity of 1000kgs.
